METHOD: 1. Heat oven to 180°C. 2. Remove crusts from bread - cut each slice in half. Spread with herbed butter or quark. 3. Separate Golden Egg - mix yolk with cheese, mustard and pepper. Beat egg white until it's glossy white and 'peaks' when the beaters are removed. 4. Pour Golden Egg yolk mixture into egg white foam. Fold together carefully to combine all egg white. Pile mixture onto bread fingers, place on greased oven trays. 5. Bake 180°C 15-20 minutes until cheese is puffed and golden. Will freeze. Will not microwave. |
