FREE RANGE EGGS

Hens have access to outdoor areas during the day and are sheltered inside at night.

There is a minimum of 1,500 hens per hectare.

Food is provided inside, hens forage, graze and pasture outside.

Hens can experience stress as they can be exposed to predators outside.

Hens are able to exercise and socialise.

Contact with other hens and the outside environment can increase levels of disease.
