Recent and extensive poultry experience is essential.

This position is available for a competent and highly motivated people who can effectively assist in the management of the day-to-day functions of a farm.
The duties will include, but not limited to; ensuring the excellent welfare of stock, maintaining sheds & surrounding areas, preparation of sheds for batches of chickens, daily operations, feed ordering and movement of livestock, maintain cleanliness, maintenance and stock control, daily and weekly reporting, supervision of existing staff and training new staff.

This is a hands on - get dirty and busy in the fields and sheds role; not a supervisory role. You must be prepared to be working with your people, walking the sheds, identifying issues, know your bird, checking shed hands duties -- checking the checker.

There is company housing onsite where you will be expected to reside. Rent is at a heavily reduced rate. You will also need to be committed to OHS, Food Safety & Quality, and Equal Employment Opportunity. Weekends, public holidays and after hours work is required.

You must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize and plan. You will need to be proactive and able to 'think on your feet'. You must be self motivated, able to work on your own and also part of a team.
​
You will need excellent communication skills to deal with all other staff, management, contractors and suppliers.
You must have a current valid Australian driver's license and you must be a permanent resident, no backpackers or temporary visa holders.
Intermediate administrative skills will be required.
